I Notturna sono un progetto nato alla fine degli anni ‘80 dall’idea di creare e concretizzare Musica del cantante – chitarrista e autore Michele Rizzi, oggi anche produttore nonchè sound engineer della band.
Già in quegli anni la rock band, con le prime incisioni e i primi concerti, accumula dei buoni consensi di critica giornalistica. Il genere musicale proposto, cantato in italiano (con esperimenti contemporanei anche in inglese e spagnolo) nella complessità viene definito, dallo stesso autore, come – new romantic rock progressive – proposte e soluzioni ricche di colori e sfumature, nonché caratterizzate da una spiccata sensibilità compositiva e artistica, che matura, nel complesso impianto di composizione e produzione, un sound particolare e avvolgente – con orecchio attento alle melodie sempre allineate e in sinergia con intrecci e tessuti ritmici solidi e potenti.

Notturna is a project born in the late 1980s from the idea of creating and making the music of the singer – guitarist and author Michele Rizzi, now also the band’s producer and sound engineer.

Already in those years the rock band, with the first recordings and the first concerts, accumulated good acclaim from journalistic criticism. The proposed type of music, sung in Italian (with contemporary experiments in English and Spanish) in the complexity is defined, by the same author, as – new romantic progressive rock – proposals and full of color solutions and shades, and characterized by a strong compositional sensitivity and artistic, which matures, in the complex composition and production system, a particular and enveloping sound – with an ear attentive to melodies always aligned and in synergy with solid and powerful rhythmic weaves and fabrics.
